While Ranbir Kapoor is now one of the most popular actors now, we came across an old video of his from before the release of his debut film Saawariya. Ranbir can be seen standing in a corner while Rishi Kapoor gave an interview, take a look
In this current situation in the country due to the lockdown, social media has been a solace for everyone and the content on it is what keeps quite a few people going. Recently Bollywood saw a huge loss after the demise of Rishi Kapoor and the whole country mourned his death. Now, we stumbled upon an old interview of his from years ago and Ranbir Kapoor was a part of it as well. Today, Ranbir is counted among one of the most popular actors, however, in the throwback video, he could be seen shyly standing in a corner.
Before Ranbir Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with 2007 film Saawariya, he wasn’t seen a lot on the public forum. Hence this throwback video can be considered a rarity of sorts. During the interview, Rishi Kapoor was seen giving a tour of the famous RK Studios set up by the Kapoor family and the whole legacy behind it. Ranbir Kapoor could be seen standing in a corner as his father introduces him to the host. Rishi Kapoor can be seen explaining how Ranbir got his name. “So when my son was born, it was Shammi uncle who initiated that he should be named Ranbir because there’s one R name going wasted.”
He then introduces Ranbir standing nervously in the corner, and Ranbir shakes the host’s hand. Rishi Kapoor then points to pictures of his grandfather, father’s pictures, and says there are 4 generations here. Pointing at Ranbir, Rishi Kapoor says, “It’s all up to him. He’s the new generation.” Take a look at the video:
